A modern west African restaurant, cooking in Nigeria.

Chef Joké Bakare was born and raised in Nigeria. Her London restaurant, Chishuru, holds a Michelin star for food that draws on Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa cooking: the heat, the spice, the fire. For four nights in November the team cooks a set dinner at Lagos Continental Hotel.

Each night is one sitting at one long evening's pace. Tables are sold complete, so you book the whole table for your party: two, four, six or eight guests, or a table of six in the VIP room.

‘Chishuru’ is a Hausa phrase meaning ‘eat silently’, or more poetically, the silence that descends on the table when the food arrives.

How booking works

    Live availability shows what is left for each dinner.

  2. Pay by bank transfer

    The hotel's bank link opens your own banking app. Quote your order number in the transfer reference.

  3. Receive your confirmation

    Once the hotel confirms your payment, we email your confirmation and a PDF to bring on the night.
